Deadbolt
Good afternoon ladies aaaaand gentlemen! Yes another SR20 powered 240z headed your way! This project began in a barn in Oregon and ended up in my garage in Toronto (GTA) area. The person who bought this car and shipped it up found it stuffed in a barn and it had been sitting there since at least the early 90's (verified with loose change found under the seats haha) He wanted to restore it himself but ended up deciding against it when it arrived. So I bought it and that's where I come in...Its a 1973 Datsun with just over 50,000 original MILES on it and the fact it sat in a barn so long clearly shows because of the conidition its in! By the time I am done it will be powered with a fully built SR20 motor and full race suspension and I hope to give the Porsche and Ferrari drivers a run for their money on the track! So lets begin with the pictures how the car stands right now.
Six_Shooter
Another Ontario member. Have you been on the Ontario Z Car site? (www.ontariozcar.com) When are you planning to have it completed, or at least drivable? The OZC Z fest is in August, this year it going to be in the Niagara region. THe car looks to have been a good score, looks quite solid.
Deadbolt
Not sure when it will be done because my plans for the car are quite ambitious! But I will most likely be getting all of the bodywork and paint done this summer! Full media blast, prime, paint! It was definitely a good score. The only rust on the car is drive/passenger floors (have new ZEDD FINDINGS pieces to go in) and under the battery tray is rotted but the firewall is clear. As you can see ive already amassed my foundation with the rims/tires, brakes and suspension. So when all the body work is done Ill have all of the suspenion put in and have myself a perfect rolling chassis to work with. The engine will be a full build SR20 running a top mount V-band GT3076r. I am familiar with OntariZcar and will probably post the same build thread there as well! Im under the same username on there
