Guest Anonymous
got a quick question. i got a msa header and in there catalog they state that you need to buy there high performance gaskets. how does this gasket differ from a normal one and what is their reasoning in saying that u need a special one?? thanks in advance dave
Guest norm[T12SDSUD]
The stock Nissan gasket works the best and lasts the longest with headers. Myself and others on the board can attest to this fact. MSA just wants to make a couple extra dollars. LAter, norm

johnc
Well... The high performance hader gasket sold by MSA is the Nissan Comp one (I think). It is the only one that will retain its integrity when you grind on it while port matching the header to the head.
Guest norm[T12SDSUD]
Yes, very good point by John. If you have ported your heads then in order to port match the header gasket you will need to get the fiber header gasket as the stock gasket is next to impossible to modify. To make you fiber header gasket last longer coat it with copper spray before installing it. Later, norm
