Guest Anonymous
what do 1970 240Z SUs flow?? I want to change to a single carb. I am leaning towards a Ford Autolite as they bolt up the sdame as a Holley. They are known for being great carbs and come in various sizes, some very small. The 4V can be had as small as 441 cfm and 480 cfm. The 2V can be as large as 356 cfm. These might be good inexpensive choices. So what do the stock carbs flow? ninja240z
The stock su flow between 280 and 300 cfm. which is about the best flow based on the displacement of the L series engines. If you look at the bigger american straight six engines they are fitted from the factory with as small as a 1 bbl carb and a average of 2 bbl carbs. The key is to not over carburate. Anything over 500 cfm is probably not going to make that much performance on a small straight six.
