Guest Anonymous
I got my datsun running and i tried as best to my ability to tune the carbs. I got to to idle pretty good, the only thing is when i step on it theres hella hesitation(takes like 5 secs for the carbs to kick in and make the cylinders fire.) i asked my auto shop teacher and he said it could be the accelerator pumps. Any other info would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!!!
Tim240z
Lance, I am also running that setup on my daily driver. Firstly, check (with the car off) that the carbs are squirting the same amount. Do this by manually pushing on the linkage (as close to the firewall as possible to simulate accelerator movement). Also make sure that the butterflies are opening the same amount. If the above are good, richen up the idle mixture a bit and see if it is any better. Tim
