I have two crankshafts that are supposedly LD-28s but I didn't personally remove either one from the car. Is there an easy way to verify that I have the real thing? By the way, both are for sale if anyone is interested.

I would be very interested in one of the cranks if they are in good shape and are in fact ld28's. What kind of price would you be looking to get out of one of them?

FYI The V casting is how you tell if the crank is Diesel or not. I just purchased one from Tony F. and verified this # with the local dealer. 2thumbs.gif

John ,I have weighed the diesel crank before and it is only 2 lbs. heavier than the l28 crank.

Another way to check is to look for a dowel pin locating hole. I know the manuals had them since the flywheel weighed a whopping 38LBS!!!!

Later,norm
