Guest Tom Scala
Is there any vendors who sell the L6 Isky cams for less thatn the near $200 The manufacturer wants for them? I think their 222 @ .050 .475" lift would be nice mild grind for the street.
Guest Tom Scala
I almost forgot, where do you get valve springs for a higher than stock lift cam? I've heard Crane makes a set but I don't have a part #. Thanks.
J Taylor
I just bought a crane cam, valve springs, and retainers. I think I paid like $90 for the springs. If you want I can get you a part number. JT
Guest Tom Scala
Thanks, that would be great. Are you using the Crane in a turbo motor and if so how did it work? I thought about a Crane cam since it has a wider LSA and is ground on a new blank but they are dual pattern grinds with exhaust duration about 10 degrees more than intake. I would rather have a single pattern or even a custom dual pattern with a longer intake lobe for a turbo.
J Taylor
I'm not sure how it is going work yet....haven't got the motor back in the car. This was the cam the guy that did my headwork recommended so I'm hoping it will work out good. I'll get that part number for you one day this week.
