Guest Hotwhlz
Hi, new to the forum but I've been doing a lot of lurking here. From what I have seen there is lots of info to be found from this forum. I'm new to Z's but have been driving a vette for years. (Yes, I've seen the light, selling the vette and dropping a V8 in the Z). But for now I have a question about the inline 6. I have an 82 280ZX that I just bought about a month ago with 100k miles on it. It idles smooth as silk and runs like a scalded dog. But accelerating through the gears it seems to hit a flat spot between 2500 and 3000 rpm. This lasts just a second or two then it catches back up and takes off. Any ideas? I've been told it's the TPS. What is the voltage for setting a Z TPS? Do I check the top two wires on it like on a chevy? Any help would be appreciated. Also if you don't think it's the TPS, what do you think it could be? Thanks, Ron (Hotwhlz)
