pauly_adams
hey guys im struggling to get my dizzy to work with my ms2, im using a z31 turbo dizzy and it just wont register with mega squirt, I have gone over the board and cant find why it is not picking up the dizzy. everything else appears to work such as tps, coolant temp, air temp etc. any ideas where to start as it is really starting to bug me
Matt Cramer
Can the MegaSquirt get RPM on a Stim? Are you using the stock trigger disc, or our replacement?
skirkland1980
Do you have the pullup resistor on the signal wire?
pauly_adams
I have a pullup resistor, I have gone over the board a few times and cant find anything wrong, stock z31 disk. I no longer have a jimstim as I loaned it out and never got it back, is there any other way to test just the rpm signal. im also getting "not synced" coming up
Matt Cramer
"Not synced" means you're not getting an RPM. If you don't have a Stim, you can use an oscilloscope to follow the signal from the distributor to TachSelect to TSEL and see where you're losing the signal. skirkland1980
Make sure you're getting power and ground to the distributor while cranking. The voltage could be dropping somewhere. Also make sure the pullup resistor isn't loosing power. Make sure the grounds are good. I would definitely invest into another stim.
