Guest ON3GO Posted September 10, 2002 Share Posted September 10, 2002 ok guys im still looking for ideas on different motors for my 240Z. So far its tied between the LT1 and the SR20DET. I know you can make power from the factory 280ZX turbo motors....sooo.. whats the parts needed to make it a 11sec motor? I want a car i can drive everyday and not have to worry about ET streets or any type of tire besides reg street tires.. needs to be a stick too.. so any help would be great. mike Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
awd92gsx Posted September 11, 2002 Share Posted September 11, 2002 These include, but are not limited to, higher compression forged pistons more than likely a metal head gasket (such as HKS) larger turbo (probably at least a T04E) head porting/polishing, possibly oversized valves higher degree camshaft front mount intercooler (FMIC) larger injectors adjustable FPR Possibly some type of engine management heavy duty clutch Limited slip R200 rear end, you may consider a 3.90 Now, some people have probably run 11's without everything in the above, or using some stock components, but, I believe they are the exception, not the rule...
