nismodat
hey everyone, Ive been trying to read up alot on my turbo swap and I am fixing to start this weekend. first off, I have basically everything from the old car, disassembled in my garage, im using the 83 harness for ecu and EFI.. is it just a simple remove your old and put in the 83? no wiring in/ splicing into old harness? basically i'm wondering if its just a plug and play for its ECU and connectors. I've typed up as many alternate seach queries i could think of for a similar question but i have not found any that give me that solid assurance of yes you have to, or no its just that simple! lol... I hope for this to be pretty simple, seeing how it will be my first "Swap" in a car, thanks for any help you can provide! ~Jordan.
Metro
You will have to splice into the 280z body harness to complete the swap. It's been almost 10 years since I first did it, but it was pretty easy. You'll want to read the guide, look at your harness and make notes. The wire colors are mostly the same, but they do change over the years. http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/38461-240z-260z-280z-turbo-swap-guide/
