nismoluv
The few weeks I have been doing some maintenance on the rear of the car. I took the whole rear subframe off to change differential mount and rear seal on the differential. In the process I lost one of the nuts and took off one of the subframe connectors bolts to find a replacement. Once everything was in place, I tightened every bolt to spec. Once I lowered my jack (which was holding everything in place) I noticed the subframe separated from the body of the car about 1/4" to 1/2". This doesn't seem right and I have done this twice now. Am I missing something?
djz
Did you put the rubber isolators back in place? Have a look at this diagram, part number 7. http://www.xenons130.com/4C05.html Edited February 16, 2014 by djz
nismoluv
Yes all the rubber is in place, as are the washers and misc. I think either the bolts or nuts need a good cleaning. I am just afraid to over torque the nuts.
