Guest crawfoth
I am a little lost on this one. When I first bought the car, the alternator was shot, so I put another one on it. With that alternator, the voltage that it was charging at would jump all around. It had a bad voltage regulator, which is internal to the alternator, so I had to put another one on it. The new one worked fine for about two weeks of daily driving, but now for the most part, it won't charge anymore. It will jump up and decide to charge at it's own free will, regardless of rpm's or any of that. But the majority of the time it is not charging at all. I am not sure if my alternator went bad again or what. If it is the alternator that went out again, what could be causing it to screw up so much? Thanks for any advice in advance. David K
Where do you buy your alternators and what brand are they?
Guest crawfoth
I get them at a local import auto parts store named Bap Geon. To be honest with you I am not sure of the brand.
David K
Are they remanufactured or new? You may want to check a different store. It may just be the brand they use.
