ktown z
Is anyone running solid motor mounts inserts with their rb? How bad is the added noise and vibration? Also is there a jack point under the rb to lift the motor to replace my destroyed urethane inserts or do I need to get another cherry picker? winstonusmc
I ran solid motor mounts on my drift car, solid delrin. RB motors are smooth running and are pretty smooth with solid mounts.
ktown z
Thanks for the reply. I am looking for some semisolid replacements for the mckinney inserts but if I can't find any I will get a set of cheap delrin solid mounts. I'm weary of the nvh that the solid will transer into the vehicle. I have read that the inline 6 is very smooth and the nvh will be minimal like you quoted. winstonusmc
the Delrin mounts I had were custom mounts machined from solid delrin stock that a buddy of mine made for us. He said they have the same characteristics as aluminum, so an aluminum puck style mount would be the same. Not sure if they are actually available for purchase, but aluminum is available though.
