auxilary
speed's a question of money: how fast do you want to go? first thing you should do is buy a JTR manual so you have a general idea of what needs to be done. you can go the cheap way which is just stuff a block and tranny in and swap out the rear diff and run stock brakes and suspension, or you can build up the suspension, brakes and engine + tranny to work all together to make a much smoother (yet more expensive) machine

Guest Anonymous
I think we had a member recently that did one as low as 2500.00 bucks, and that was getting super deals on everything and it was all used. So to give you a range, 2500.00 to 30,000+ as they say, how fast do you want to go? The faster you go the more you need to upgrade things. Is it going to be raced and if so what form, autox or drag or road racing, or is it a street car? A conservative build will probably cost you between 3-6k without paint and depending on what you come up with parts wise. I know thats not an exact answer, but each one of these cars are different, no two are exactly alike, so getting a price is difficult because most of us don't even want to add the receipts for fear of heart failure. Good luck with it and regards, Lone
DavyZ
All good answers--cost is relative. I'm shooting for a $5000 conversion when all is said and done, and that's without any paint!! Arrrg! That is more money than I have ever spent on any of my cars! Oh well, after all is said and done, it'll be totally worth it...at least that is what I keep telling myself.
