I searched the forum and cannot find the answer. The question is, do I want to advance, retard, or run the stock timing on the stock cam for my L28ET? Mods include, T3/T4, 300ZXT electronics, starquest fmic, 3.0l stroker w/je 8.5:1 pistons, sheetmetal intake manny, 60mm tb, 420cc injectors, big fuel pump and rail, etc. I'm trying to get the car into the 11's with the parts that I already have. It last ran 12.6@112mph with broken pistons. I don't want to buy a hotter cam for it, because I think that the money would be better spent on an i/c or electronics. I'd like to make the best of the cam I've got. Any help and info is appreciated. Thanks!!!

I'd say to run the stock turbo cam at stock cam timing, then try retarding it one notch and see what happens to your e.t. If it slows the car, then advance it one and see what happens. It's easy to reset at trackside (as long as you don't drop the chain). DAW
