Kevin Shasteen
Sorry Zack-no idea about the copper gasket thing; you might try talking to a local performance engine builder...they'ld probably be better experienced in that arena. 74_5.0L_Z
I am using copper header gaskets on my 5.0L ford engine. Before I installed them I went through 3 sets of gasket in 2 months. I've had the copper gaskets in for nearly a year with no leaks and no problems. They have a raised crush area around the port. They are a liitle more expensive but can be reused. Guest Night_rider_383
Most of us v-8 guys thinks the copper and alum header and coll. gaskets is the best think to come along in years. Before these things hit the market i was replacing the paper header gaskets about every 2-3 mo. Also you'll find most of your "race engine" runs copper head gaskets cause the seal alot better and can be re-used. Now my self i never heard of copper intake gaskets but who knows they may make em for other engines
