loganpratt22
I am currently working out a L28ET swap into my current 1974 260z w/ automatic transmission. I have noticed that the automatic transmission itself is listed as fitting 1972-1983. Can I bolt my L28ET to my existing transmission or is there something else that I am missing or need to be aware of? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you. loganpratt22
Basically I am wondering if the flex plates/torque convertors are the same between a 1983 zx turbo and my 1974 260z. Help please!
tecreatta
Swap your old flex plate and torque convertor over and everything will bolt together. You won't have a problem.
loganpratt22
This what I figured. I'm getting the engine balanced and am currently driving the car... So I'll have to pull the current flex plate if the 83 turbo plate won't bolt in to the 74 transmission is all... tranny drop, here I come.
