wayverippah
Hi all. I just pulled my front struts off of my 77 280z to do a coilover install, and found that the bolts connecting the hubs to the rotors are different between the driver and passenger side. The hubs are identical in measurements minus the bolt size. Is this normal or am I missing something?
johnc
Not normal.
RebekahsZ
Top bolt is factory. Somebody has done a repair on the hub associated with the lower bolt. It probably doesn't matter if they did a nice job drilling and tapping it for the new thread pitch. If the bolts go in smoothly by hand, I'd run it. Unless you just really want another project (that doesn't net a performance gain). Edited March 24, 2015 by RebekahsZ
ReeNerf
Are the hubs from the same car?
wayverippah
Yeah same car. They thread in fine, just need to drill out the rotors to get it to fit. Might find a used hub to replace it with... Thanks for the info guys!!
