drewchas
Hi, guys. All apologies. I'm a newbie looking to get into the Z universe for the first time. I'm looking at a car that seems to have a large gap between the bumper and the hood. Is this something I should be concerned with? For example, a sign of a previous accident? I'm trying to do my due diligence to avoid an expensive repair or possibly a vehicle with a bent frame. Any advice would help. I've attached three photos. Thanks in advance, Andrew near Chicago
FricFrac
Normal - if it was any closer it would hit the bumper when you open the hood.
aarang
There should be a rubber strip attached to the front of the hood underneath to cover up the gap. Looks like that is missing.
roger280zx
Looks like a pretty good zx, check the usual rust areas.
YeaJimi
There should be a rubber strip attached to the front of the hood underneath to cover up the gap. Looks like that is missing. x2. The gap is just an unfortunate consequence of the placement and function of the hood hinge. Edited May 4, 2015 by YeaJimi
