Guest Anonymous
You reccomended that pierburg pump corky sells. I looked into it and it seems like good quality and whatnot, so I got one. Corky says it has 1/8 npt outlet!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! He was adamant of the 1/8 npt outlet too despite my disbelief and prodding - can you remember if that was the case on yours scottie? 1/8 pipe is awfully damn small for a fuel fitting I think, no? And forgive me if it's on your web site, but what size injectors did you use with your sds? And what did you do with your drivetrain when you went 'murican? You sell it whole to someone or what? ------------------ Morgan http://z31.com/~morgan/s30 http://carfiche.com
Scottie-GNZ
Corky is correct about the Pierburg outlet. I questioned it too but he said it was no problem even for someone running insane HP. I dumped it into a -8 immediately after the pump. Patrick's 11-sec L28T also has the Pierburg and I am close to 400RWHP and counting and no problem. 240Z Turbo also has one on his insane 3.1 L6 with a T64 turbo and NOS. As they say in NYC, "fuggedaboudit" . I ran the SVO/X4Rti 36# injs and I have the mod on my L28T page. I was around 300RWHP with the stock engine and turbo spinning at 17psi with about 75% duty cycle. ------------------ Scottie 71 240GN-Z Scottie's GNZ
Guest Anonymous
Hmm. Oh well. I should be fine then I guess.... Are you still using it with the gn engine? Crazy. Corky was supposed to call me back last week - still waiting for him to call. Wonder how bad he wants to sell stuff! ------------------ Morgan http://z31.com/~morgan/s30 http://carfiche.com
240Z Turbo
Actually, it comes with several outlet fittings for different uses. You have the option of a banjo type filling or some other misc. crap. The actual threads on the pump are a metric female straight thread that is sealed with a copper washer when the proper fitting is installed. Bell machined an Earl fitting to accept the metric thread and used a male -6 JIC fitting on the other side. I ran a short piece of -6 and then bumped it up to -8.
