Dirtydelta
Okay, this is my first post. I have an '80 auto 280zx coupe that I've recently begun fixing up. Anyway, recently I started hearing a "pop" sound when turning sharp left. It seemed as if it was coming from the driver's front wheel area, I kept telling myself I'd look at it but I didn't get around to it. About a week later the pop dissapeared completely but the power steering pump began whining loudly. I'm about to replace the pump, but I'm just wondering how they could be connected. I mean I figured it was probably a cv joint. There was no delay between the two problems. It stopped as SOON as the power steering started whining.
