John Scott
Scott, I'd like to read the SAE papers on the SY/TY engines. Where would I find the info? Thanks, John Scott
John Scott
Scott, I'm also curious about the Ty/Sy cam profile. Non of the sites I was into had the info. Do you know the specs.? hp/tq peaks? I'm amazed what these trucks do with low rpm #s. Thanks, John Scott
Guest Anonymous
I have the #s at home. I'll get them to you then. You can go to the SAE website (sae.org?) and do the search/order the papers from there, but at $10 each they're kinda pricey. I go to the local University library and photocopy the microfiche for $.05 a page! Scott
Guest Anonymous
The two SAE paper #s are: 910682- SyTy specific SAE paper 841225- 4.3L V6 gas engine As for cam profile it's a carry over from the '91 - '93 production. I could only find lift #s. Rumor has it that the L35 has a hotter cam (and better flowing heads and...). LIFT +- .002 Intake .357 Exhaust .390 Scott
John Scott
Incredible! That's all the lift? I have pimples bigger than that! Ahh the wonders of forced induction! John Scott
