Guest Anonymous
I thought that pre-95s had a different distributor drive and distributor harness connector?
Guest super280z
im not really cerian about that one. i do know that all the Opti's interchange so how diffrent could it be?
Andrew Bayley
"i do know that all the Opti's interchange" ...sorry, gonna have to disagree with you on that one. A non vented F-body Optispark would NOT fit on my Iron head Impala SS LT1 motor. The coupling to the cam shaft was totally different. I guess I could have swapped in a nice LT4 hot cam Also, a '95 Impala SS was OBD-I, '96 was OBD-II. -Andy
Guest super280z
thanks Andrew, consider me educated. i had forgotten about the iron head LT1 and also the 4.3 from the caprice. my reasoning consisted of the fact that i have an OBD II harness on my 94 motor which is OBD I. everything pluged up fine. Perfunltd, what exactly are you looking at doing?
Guest Anonymous
I am swapping an LT1 in place of a 4.3 L99 in a caprice 9c1 (police package). I just wanted some confirmation of differences before I purchased an engine. Thanks for the info!
