VQ35 long term reliability?

Recommended Posts

Hey buds, I'm considering checking out a 2002 Maxima with the VQ35 and manual tranny. Doesn't look abused at all, and there's no rice on the car. It was owned by an older gentleman, well at least he is the most recent owner.

Only thing is it has 152k miles. Now that's not that much but I am unfamiliar with the VQ35 motor. I did a quick google search and found out the motor likes to burn oil and may have issues with the timing chain tensioner. Any other input? Thanks buds.https://discord.software/ fetLife itunes

Yeah might have oil consumption, and some may have timing chain issues if they did run it on low oil. But other than that they're good cars. I have a 06 altima with the vq35 and I'm about to hit 150k and Ive had mine since 43k miles. shareit vidmate
