Jboogsthethug
Hey all, trying to figure this out. I had a custom pan made for my RB25 and I'm looking at extending the pickup tube now. There are varying standard results on what the clearance should be, Moroso says this: "Ideal clearance is .250” to .500” to ensure adequate oil supply." So I figure as long as I get somewhere around there I'm good. My main concern is the way the pickup tube is designed on the RB makes this confusing. It has the mesh screen for filtering (picture included). So do I need that clearance between the mesh and the pan or the actual inlet of the tube behind the mesh? If the latter is true, then I'd try and get my mesh touching the pan? I'm assuming that can't be right but wanted to verify. Any help is appreciated, thanks! Jboogsthethug
For anyone interested, I ended up just getting my tube hole as close as I could to that gap width, the mesh was almost touching but it seemed safer to me.
