240Z Turbo
I got the cores today and they are indeed massive. I have decided to keep both cores and just let you eat the $110. Thanks, I needed the cooling capicity of 2000hp! HEHE! I will seperate the cores tomorrow and begine constructing the water tanks. One thing, the inlet and outlet will work best if they are on the same side. Because the water side of the core is 10"x5.5" I will place a divider on the inlet/outlet side, so the water will come into 1/2 the core flow to the other side and then flow back through the other 1/2 of the core. I can probably have the tanks done by Wednesday and will then pressure check it to 50psi or so. Start thinking about how you want your air tanks constructed. Oh I can't wait! Drax240z
Cool project, I wish I was set up to weld aluminum! (I'm going to invest in a nice TIG one day... once you use it and have it around you just can't live without it!!!) Tell me guys, is the air/water system as simple as is sounds? A "water box" with a heat exchanger inside of it, air going through the HTX and glycol through the "box"? And I take it you throw on a pump and A/C condenser to keep the glycol cool? What kind of volume are you looking at for the liquid side of the equation? (just wondering about weight when full) Sounds like a decent do-it-yourself project once you get the cores... ------------------ "Nothing is fool proof to a sufficiently talented fool." Scottie-GNZ
2000hp! You been sniffing too many diapers lately That should not change the drawing I sent you except that the water ports are now both on the same side. What I might want you to do is send mine after you presure test it so I can take my car apart and see how it will really fit. Would that be a problem for you?
