Guest JAMIE T Posted January 31, 2002 Share Posted January 31, 2002 I am modifying a Starion IC for my brothers Turbo 2.3L mustang. I need aluminum mandrel bends in 2"-2.5" or about that. Should I just rmove the old tubes and replace them, or should I fab new tanks and tubes? I weld aluminum everyday, so thats not a problem. Guest Anonymous Posted January 31, 2002 Share Posted January 31, 2002 IMO, the starion tubes are too small for any real hp application. i just dont like having piping smaller than 2". If you are good with that stuff i would make a new inlet and outlet. You can buy aluminum ubends through JCWhitney, or i found that my local speed shop had some lying around and sold me 3 2" 180 degree bends for 15$.
