I would say it's safe, but don't suggest letting it sit for over 15-20 minutes. I can imagine it will be a messy job. Even bead blasting will hurt the fins, so that's about the only option you have. DemonZ Posted February 19, 2002 Share Posted February 19, 2002 the paint stripper might clog in the fins if it comes off in blisters. Depends on how thick the paint is and what kind.
