Today I need to give my word as to whether or not I will buy them. $400 for the both of them together (stupid reserve price auctions...). What do you think? It's for the Chevy 350.

dj,

this is just my sketchiness, but isn't the cummins a low-rpm, high-torque motor? If so, and you swap the turbo/ic then you'd find that it spools fast and runs out of power early on a gasoline-fueled 350. What sort of build are you doing to go turbo?

Yes, it is. The Cummins 5.9L engine runs to 4000 rpm with 20psi boost (yikes).

I'm going to run to 5000-6000, but only with 5-8psi, and I'm guessing the turbo would take that easily. Right now (heads/cam/intake limitations) I can only run to the upper 4000's.

I have a 9.4:1 static CR, but I don't see that as a problem with such low boost numbers.

I saw that I have a smaller engine (not by much) running to a little higher RPM and a LOT less boost.

I can always get another one of the dodge turbos for about $175, but don't want to unless I need to. Maybe run the single turbo for now, and add another one when I get my heads/cam/intake down the road. The intercooler should not be any problem at all. smile.gif

He may be ok. I think one of the upgrades for those is a smaller turbine housing, although I may be thinking of the powerstroke. I would scope out some websites that hop up the power stroke and cummins engines and see. Bully dog and Banks come to mind right off the bat.

I have already said this, but I will say it again. I don't think a stock intercooler is worth having when you can get nice upgraded units cheaply. That said, the intercooler in the picture might be ok for your boost level, as long as they pressure drop is not very much.
