spotfitz
Nick, Where in Ft.Worth are you. I live and work just east of there(about 5 minutes away). Want to hook up? Email me Here are some sites that may be of interest to you. It seems you have the same basic plan as I do for your Z. http://www.wopot.com:81/removal/ http://www.rolerdynamics.com/ http://www.cyberauto.com/ http://www.amstreetrod.com/catalog.html http://www.centuryperformance.com/Mallory/index.asp That should keep you busy for awhile. I do have more, just don't have the time to paste them all. Hope it helps
Guest JAMIE T
Check out www.camaroz28.com Its a huge forum, the threads move so fast, minutes after you post a question, someone has answered it. I have a'94 Z28 6spd, whenever I have a question, I post it there. I think one site that many of those guys get parts from is www.thunderracing.com. They(the forum) helped me figure out a high rpm miss I was having with my Camaro, turned out to be simple tune-up parts Seems to be common on these cars with high mileage, and stock plug wires, plugs and coil. Be aware that that most Forums on the internet are not as nice as HybridZ, these moderators do a superb job of keeping things "on the level". Camaroz28 is not moderated as well as HybridZ, but then again, its a much busier forum.
BLKMGK
HybridZ moderates itself for the most part. Folks here respect one another for the most part and there's hardly ever any trash talking to moderate... As for the LT1 - watch that damned Optispark and the water pump too. Optisparks aren't cheap and go somewhat often. They're nothing more than a glorified optical distributor and a little bit of dirt or water from a bad waterpump will kill them If you want some adventure they can be dissassembled for an attempt at cleaning... CableSrv
Spotfitz i'm in the watauga area off rufesnow and 820 and thankz for all the links and yes hybridz is very friendly not as trash talking as some of the boards i've been on tomorrow i'm going look at All Z's in Ft. worth to see if i can find a suitable 1970-73 240z one question tho! did the 240z come with ac originally ? was it an option ? or would i have to swap a 280z ac ? Guest super280z
cable, the AC swap is under some pretty serious investigation right now seeing that the JTR mounting method makes AC impossible in the stock location. perhaps a vette bracket? about the motor, if you want a fully built motor i hope you have alot of cash. if not check out camaroz28.com like JamieT suggested.. they have some totally awesome built lt1's up for sale every once in a while. LT1 stuff is just chevy 350 stuff with the exception of the heads and a few other choice items. also might try internet racers supply. the t56's are strong enough to handle pretty much whatever you put them behind. (i said pretty much not anything) happy rodding,
