The paint unless professionally coated will burn off in no time. Not really worth the time unless it is sent out to be coated. At this time the bid is only 10.00. Tony240ZT Posted November 28, 2002 Share Posted November 28, 2002 The trick with that paint is to put it on thin so that it can expand/contract with the metal without cracking. Using degreeser before hand helps a bunch too.. On my orange car I painted my exhaust manifold and turbine housing with that stuff and it's still doing fairly well. A while back I tried it on some other exhaust manifold, put it on too thick and within the first run it was pealing off all over. still doesn't last longer than a year or so though, I think. Cody 82 ZXT Posted November 28, 2002 Share Posted November 28, 2002 About the paint. I did have a set of headers that held the paint OK for like you said about a year. Pulled them off and went turbo.
