Guest Anonymous Posted December 2, 2002 Share Posted December 2, 2002 hey, first post but ive been readin for years now. i have a 72 240 with turbo swap, and its been running fine for me for a while, but at full throttle it makes this weird sound, and its not from the motor it sounds like its the turbo. when i floor it, it will start making this weird sound like the blades are hitting something, but if i slowly lay on the gas, it runs perfectly, at the same boost levels. i dont drive the car very much so it doesnt bother me, but when i do drive the car i like it to run all the way correct, so this bothers me. people have also told me it could be the wastegate? maybe that one of my lines is cracked or otherwise leaking? also, i have an adjustable actuator, and was wondering how i could tell if maybe that was my problem as well? anyways im sure one of you guys has a good idea whats going on, and any and all suggestions would be great.
