fl327
super trapps are pretty raspy but i have only heard them on carbed v8 cars. i run a 3" borla and its make great smooth noise, with minimal droning.
speeder
I used a 2-1/2" Supertrapp on my 77 ZT and it worked well- I gradually increased the number of discs until I ran that muffler with none at all on it. Even with no discs it wasn't too loud - had a good, deep (not raspy as on an NA car) tone. I finally went to an SS Magneflow for My 3" system (I decided I wanted a more "conventional" -looking muffler), but will recommend the Supertrapp for a turbo car. Guest 240Zdragon72
Speeder: Where did you get your Super Trapp? Was it a website or a local dealer? Dose it help with the flow to have Magnaflow insted? Thanks
speeder
I got my Supertrapp from Summit - I think that it is about the same as any straight - through muff (like Magnaflow) for performance. And you can tune the sound level you can stand by adding discs. Like I said, I changed to the Magnaflow just for appearance's sake, since in the end I was running it all the way open anyway - no more advantage to that design.
