Guest Fast Frog
Actually it's not the FI itself. It's where the top portion of the inj fits into the alum fuel rail "secured" by an O ring which is supposed to hold the top portion of the inj snug and keep it from leaking. Well the rear passenger side 2 FIs leak thru the top around the O ring. Leaking, like this, happened a couple of yrs ago when I changed out one of these inj and cinched the rail too tight and part of the O ring actually popped into the fuel passage. I had to put a shim between the rail and the manifold so the O ring wouldn't slip into the fuel passage when the fastener was tighten. This solved the prob until recently. Now these 2 injs are leaking again!! Will slightly fatter O rings solve the prob?? IS THERE a sealant that's gasoline "proof" that I can use inconjunction with the O rings? Any help will be greatly appreciated!!! Rick
Owen
Maybe the o-rings were damaged the first time? Did you look for replacement o-rings? Owen
