Guest Carrman
Folks, I need help. My turbo '75 is giving me real grief, and I'm running out of ideas. Everything was transplanted from an '83 ZX turbo, including all emissions equipment. When I hook up the O2 sensor, at light throttle, she surges terribly, and you can hear the engine cut out quite noticibly at the tailpipe. Pull the O2 wire, and she runs smooth as glass, and has gobs of power. I have installed a rebuilt AFM as someone had tinkered with the old one so I didn't trust it's setings. I've checked TPS setting, cleaned conenctions at TPS, AFM, head temp sensor, and ECU. I'm in a real bind here, as the 14 mpg I get with the O2 disconnected is getting pricey. Anyone else had this happen?
yo2001
My set up surged when the boost was coming up. I found that motor was gettingtoo much fuel no enough timing.
