Guest Anonymous
I wasn't sure which forum to post this in, but I figure this is a pretty safe guess. Anyway, I was driving through a snow, icy parking lot tonight. It had snowed a few inches today so I couldn't see the only cement parking divider in the whole lot. I ran over it and got high-centered. A couple guys helped me out, but now my transmission is hard to shift. It is a TH-350 with a Hurst Quarter Stick Shifter. Between P, R, and N it is hard to push and makes kind of a grinding sound. 1, 2, and D shift fine however. It seems like what ever hooks the shifter to the tranny is bent. Am I at all on target? Is this repairable? Do I have to buy a whole new shifter? Thanks
Mike kZ
Did you look under there yet? You might have just bent the shifting mechanism on the trany. Or maybe streched or kinked the cable from the shifter
