Guest tom sixbey
so lets see here.. in conclusion, the 952 radiator from an 86 camaro will fit, and is only 2.5" thick at its thickest point? - souds good to me... i have to place it in front of a stock motor for now, but it's nice to know that it'll accomodate for the v8 later! Guest Anonymous
Just remember, you're looking for the radiator that's 20.5" wide, fin to fin
Guest Anonymous
Thanks for that quick measurement, Tim! Just measured a new stock rad in my garage: 3.25" at its thickest, 2.5" from firewall mounts to the engine side of the core. Looks like the GM unit should work just fine! BTW, the local parts store (a good one) told me that their books show the 4 cylinder Camaro rad to have the correct core width that we are looking for. Tim's measurements should be the ultimate judge.
Guest tom sixbey
cool... i hope it fits with the stock motor! - i guess i'll give it a shot... My stock 3 core is about 3" at its widest point, so it should work...
