Lewis Maudlin
My frame was rusted on my 580Z so I bought a stable autoworks Z kit with a donor car. Does anyone know anything about these kits? What are the advantages and disadvantages? Any comments or help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Guest Anonymous
Indiana Z... a "Stable Auto Works Z kit" What are you talking about? If it is a 250 GTO kit ..it is a fairly decent kit for a 1970 -78 Z car.
SpeedRacer
Congratulations on joining the Ferrari 250 GTO replicar crowd. There are a few of us hanging around here. Basically, all the current 250 GTO kits are descendents of the Eagle engineered kit that was first sold as an Alpha 1 GTO by Joe Alphabet. Some history can be found here http://www.gtorr.com/ You have probably already found the Stable Autoworks site but if not you can contact Jeff here http://www.zcarkits.com/ Some info on my car can be found on this site http://www.hybridz.org/Review/0002/Ferrari_GTO.htm with a couple of newer pictures here http://www.cardomain.com/member_pages/view_page.pl?page_id=236622 Let us know if you need any info/help. Lewis Maudlin
Yes, I was talking about the GTO kit. I hope to have one that looks as nice as speedracer's. Any pointers would be helpful. Thanks. Lewis.
Guest Anonymous
Indiana Z. Speed Racer posted a thread in this "Body Kit Forum" (page 4) on October 5,2002 entitled "How Many of You are Building Ferrari 250 GTO Kits". Would you please take the time and list your GTO project. It would be interesting hearing about your project. Also this thread may provide you with links to members' websites..
