HICKL
I had my machine shop build my short block for me. I wanted to check the clearance on a few rod brg and main brgs just to check his work before I install this thing. I have some "old school" plastigage, but can't remember what the clearances should be and what the torque specs are. I know this is basic, but I haven't done this in 6 years and have a poor memory....too much beer. Thanks Jeff
Guest Anonymous
.0008-.0035 is factory specs for the rod clearance I like .0025-.0030 personal preference Main Clearances .001-.002 front .002-.003 middle Should be good in those ranges. .0035-.005 back I have a question also, Does the clearance tighten up toward the front to compensate for the oil lost on the way?
