JKDGabe
Got a v8 in my '73 240 and read something under the search function about removing the tach from the dash and calibrating it. Can anyone tell me how to do this?
VRJoe
If you don't have the JTR manual you should get one. First, check against another tach, it may already have been adjusted if someone else did the install, otherwise: To adjust the Tach, remove it from the dash, you don't have to disconnect the wires. Make sure the ignition is OFF. There's a small hole in the back, the adjustment scew is accessed through this hole. Use a small screwdriver and turn the adjustment screw 45 degrees CLOCKWISE. That will bring you close. Check with another tach and adjust yours to match. Make sure the ignition is OFF while adjusting. This is covered in the JTR manual. - Joe
