Guest Anonymous
I have done a search a couple times concerning this topic but I didn't find any thing really help full (might have done search right). I want to swap a 280zxt engine into my 240z. I have the full 280zxt car so I have the wiring, ecu ect... and I wanted to know if any one has written a step by step installation for swapping this (maybe, swapping for dummies)? If not I would love it if some one took the time to tell me what I should go about doing. Also could u tell me how much I could sell my 240 engine and trans. for, there out of a 72 w/ 134k miles. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Mudge
Search is unfortunately broken for the moment. There are about 13 pages in the Turbo forum to cover, I unfortunately haven't had time to check them all. I'm going to do the swap soon myself. Guest michael_240Z
i myself will also most likely be doing the L28ET swap into my 73, if i don't get the opportunity to put an RB20DET in it first. i would have a shop do the RB install but if i got the L engine, i'd do it myself so i'd also like to see some detailed instructions and also the bugs and snags that one may encounter during the install. hey gas, if the L24 is in good shape, usually $100 to $150 w/o carbs. the roundtop SUs by themselves can go from $50-over $100 a set depending on their condition. not sure about the tranny. i got an 83 five speed and a very nice R200 3.9 with the halfshafts for $175. hope that helps.
