Guest bang847
Ok.. i swapped a head and I really mickey moused it by being lazy and not getting a timing chain cover gasket... this is a L26 motor... it leaked alot of oil as you would expect... but the head gasket is pretty much new.. it has about 10 miles on it... i know i have to untorque the head to pull off that cover... what do you think? Oh save me the "I told you so" Im telling myself that already..

speeder
You don't have to untorque the head to remove the cover. Usually you can get enough room to remove the cover just by loosening the oil pan bolts and lowering the pan a bit. Don't forget the two 10MM bolts holding the head to the cover in front like I did!
