God that brings a flash back, I was doing 45-50 around a curve and learned about this thing called traction and the lose of (not wide enuf tires).. rear tires busted loose, wheel was turned and just kept going straight. went inbetween to curve marker signs, straight for a tree, my tires grabbed and I kept going about another 15 foot sideways missing the tree, when they pulled my car 6 foot straight up to get it out, heh my wheels where stil turned :?

There isn't anything wrong with a Honda. The little 91 Std Hatchback that my cousins gave us kept me out of more trouble than anything else. I still drive the crap out of it, and haven't gotten a ticket (knock on wood). I think I hit 90MPH going down a hill once on the freeway. Going from that to the Cobra is a bit of a wake up.

We started out doing suspension and wheels. The best thing to do is have your boys do the research. My dad made me do it, and man did I learn stuff. That's how I found this place when I was looking for stuff to do to my "future" Z (now current Z). Anyways, I say if they want to modify the car start with the tires. Then brakes and/or suspension, interior, and lastely the motor. You learn how to drive and keep yourself out of trouble with a lower powered car. Then when you get in something really high up there, it's a little scary which should keep you in check. Anyways, just .02 cents from an 18 year old (19 in a few days), that's still going through the whole speed is appealing stituation.

P.S. Go-karts and a track also help. I go to Speedring (a little indoor karting place) and get the speed disease out there.
