fl327 Posted March 2, 2003 Share Posted March 2, 2003 being that times are tough i cant go all out and modify my z car to take high boost or feed a big compressor(saving money for a rainy day), i was looking to rebuild the spare one that i have at home and just bump up the compressor wheel, im wondering now what to do. is teh 300zx turbo the one with the .63, or did 280-300zx both have this size on the turbine side, ive searched and found the .63 to be the more desirable, and the compressor wheel on the turbo looks pretty big-but i m not sure though. will the stock housing take the 60-1 wheel , or do i need a bigger compressor housing completely? i mean, can it be ported out to take a bigger wheel setup? if anyone could guide me to a site that shows how to rebuild a turbo or some good literature that would be great too, i would really love to learn how to rebuild these things. thanx.
