Guest thinkmonkey
Right now I am on track to buy a 350 HO crate motor. The biggest problem I have with buying this motor is that I want to at least have forged pistons, although it would be nice to have forged rods maybe a forged crank. I want the pistons forged because I plan on running a S/C in the future and I don't want to have to deal with the bottom end after the engine is in the car. I can deal with the Vortec heads later, but not the pistons. I could replace the pistons when I get the engine but that would probably void the warranty. The reason I want to go with the H.O. is because it is cheap, and brand new. Does anybody know a good engine builder who's price would compare with the Generals? -David
