Guest Mark N(Houston)
I'm thinking about doing this and would like to talk with someone locally about the swap. Maybe try to get together sometime and see the car? Let me know... Thanks!
Guest the_dj
The only LT1 Nissan I know around here is a 240SX. However, you won't learn anything from him (he had someone else do it) and he seems highly ignorant and HIGHLY!!!!!!! full of himself. I was around him only one night and I can't stand him. Good luck with the swap though  Another option is to build a SBC and get a converted LT1 intake or a mini-ram, or even a ported TPI like mine. Might make for an easier swap, and still tons of power to be had. PS: Aftermarket LT1 parts are MUCH more expensive than their SBC counterparts. I know of a good 350 long block you can pick up from a guy I know for cheap cheap if you're interested.
Guest Mark N(Houston)
Thanks for the reply. If you don't mind me asking, what kind of power are you putting down and what was the total ballpark cost of the engine/performance parts? What transmission are you using? The reason I was leaning towards the LT1 is it seemed like a *fairly* straight forward swap with the T56 transmission. I'm still researching, so any help you can provide would be appreciated!!! Are you in Houston, or Austin? Thanks!
Danno74Z
Mark, Welcome to HybridZ. I bought my LT1 engine and T56 tranny from High Performance Salvage outside of San Antonio, TX (200 miles from Houston)and had the whole package shipped to CO. Mark Whitley, is the Proprietor of HPS and is an excellent source of information on the LT1 and LS1 engine swaps. Here is his website http://www.hpsalvage.com/ In addition, he has a lot of links and good information on putting these engines into older vehicles. Here are a few other sites for you - ENJOY! http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Speedway/4955/camaro1.html http://lt1powered85z.cz28.com/custom.html http://home.tir.com/~steveher/lt4.html http://www.vetteworksonline.com/LT1%20conversion.htm The above sites should get you going and THIS site has a wealth of knowledge too just do a search and I guarantee you will find what your looking for. If so, give me an email address I can contact you at and I'll get directions, etc... Thanks...

Guest Mark N(Houston)
the_dj - Thanks for the info! I'll try to make it over there early afternoon, unless something comes up. I live up in Kingwood, so it will be a little drive:)
Guest the_dj
Bah. Just so you know, I busted a brake line last night. I'll be out to get a new one at 8AM Sat morning. I have a power bleeder, so the install should take under 2 hours including the bleed. I hope it's working by the time you get here.
