Guest Anonymous
I need a CAD drawing or sketch of the bracket used for a 240sx caliper swap. I've search all through the archives and it seems that the drawings disappeared from many of the sites they were hosted on. Not sure if this has to do with the fact that members of this board are now selling these brackets and don't want competition or not. Never fear, I just need to get my calipers on my car ASAP. I'm not looking to steal any business OR spend $150 for a pair of brackets I can crank out in a weekend. Thanks in advance, -Erik

Guest Anonymous
Thanks for the quick response, but no, they're not the ones I'm wanting. And I don't plan on buying a set. For competition reasons, I'm capped at $2004 total outlay, every dollar counts. -emohn
Trevor
I do not recall drawings for the 240SX brackets ever being shown around here. Here is a drawing for Sentra caliper bracket. The whole intall is in an article on zhome (IZCC) http://www.zhome.com/ZCMnL/tech/Calipers/RearDisk.htm I think the 280ZX caliper / Maxima bracket / has been drawn up and is floating around too. jeromio
You could always "cheat" - just install the rotor, then position the caliper on there (with pads) and clamp it down with compressed air. Position it radially where you want it (the ebrake cable is the limiting factor) and then clamp the rotor in place. Then just use some cardboard to make a template. When I made my ZX caliper brackets, I started from that drawing that Dan Laurizio provided. But the clamping technique was used for final tweakage. I had the rear struts off the car, but I think you could do it with them still in place.
