Maximum Boost!!!

I had been putting this one off. WTF was I thinking!!! It is a great book. Even if you never even plan on turboing a car, it is good reading. It has really gotten the gears turning in my head.

How to Modify Datsun L series engines.

This book has good general info on building/modifiying Datsun L engines. I got it becuase my knowledge of Datsun L engines is limited to what I read on this forum. I figured I would get this book and answer some questions I may have without cluttering up the forum with probably repeated questions. I am interested in crankshaft prep. I have done rods before, but have always left the crank to the pro's. I want to knife edge my own crank, then get the whole assembly re-balanced.

BTW, I got both books from Barnes and Noble. I damn near crapped my britches when I saw Maximum Boost on the shelf.

Definately must haves..

Also the JTR book should be in your collection if it's not already. I'm not doing a v8 swap, but it has been helpfull..

Other books in my collection related are the SU book from when I was stock, also have a book on restoring z cars, good details. Have a book on Nitrous, and a book on power in general where an old timer nascar/indy car engine builder tells you it's all about the rod length, not much on turboing even though most of the indy cars he built were forced induction.

Take time and check out the pictures of the 280zx turbo cars in the build your nissan ohc book, trace the plubing. Very different styling than you see on street cars.
