David K
My new 79 squirts power steering fluid right on to the exhaust manifold right out of the hose. Can i just unscrew the power steering hoses from the P/S box on the steering shaft and the hoses on the other side of the engine that go to the pump? After i do that, if i can, do the hoses unbolt from the crossmember under the engine? I was looking at it while the sun was going down and didnt see much other than what i described. Whats the time frame on this hose replacement?
Guest bang847
David, if it is the high pressure hose it is pretty expensive.. I replaced it on my maxima... it took about 30mins... all those other hard lines are vents from one rack boot to the other... the crappy thing is that when you get some kragen hoses they have SAE ends.. why dont you try some sealer first? you can get it at the 99 cent store
Guest bang847
oh... if it is squirting out of the hose then you need a new one... if out of the fittings then sealer might do it
