David K
Some major a hole thought it would be comfortable to use my rear fiberglass bumper as a foot rest. Now the left side is hanging because the screws were ripped out of the metal on the car. Im gonna get new screws and make new holes to hold the bumper on there. What screws do i use? Guest greimann
Pep Boys carries black trim screws in the hardware aisle. Those work fine.
David K
Hey Dave, Arent these things supposed to be riveted on?
Guest greimann
I would say you could attach them any way you feel comfortable with. Screws, bolts, rivets, or bonding agent. I use screws because you can remove them fairly easily if you need to do some repair. I assume you are talking about attachments on the inside of the wheel well lip, because that is the only place I have screws.
David K
The part that the screws ripped out of is the car body itself, where the inside of the rear bumper cover attaches. The screws were put in from underneath the car, inside the bumper cover where you cant see, and run along the rear of the car.
